The Children’s Center of North Harford is located in the former Highland Elementary School Kindergarten Building (Baity Building), 707 Highland Road, Street, Md., and in the Highland Commons Building, 708 Highland Road. The Center maintains two classrooms and the CCNH Office in the Baity Building and one classroom in the Highland Commons Building.The Center’s Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten Readiness programs are based upon a child-centered philosophy, and include the following curricular topics: Art, Music, Physical Education, Language Arts, Pre-reading & Pre-writing skills, Science, Social Studies, and Math Readiness.
The Children’s Center offers the following programs for Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten Readiness children:
1)FOUR/FIVE YEAR OLD PROGRAMS which meet 2 (two) or 3 (three) times per week for a three hour time period per session in the mornings. Children may also be enrolled 5 (five) times per week (Monday thru Friday mornings). Children may also participate in a FULL DAY NURSERY (6 hours per day) program which meets MWF from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Maximum class size for Four Year Old sessions is 16 children with one Teacher and one Aide.

Noon for Half Day Program. Maximum class size is 16 students with one Teacher and one Aide.
The Children’s Center offers BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL DAY CARE programs for CCNH Nursery/Kindergarten children and School-aged children attending North Harford Elementary School, as well as Full Day Daycare for CCNH Nursery
and Kindergarten Readiness children.
